Matcha Shortbread Cookies
Buttery, bite-sized, and your favorite not-too-sweet but sweet shortbread cookies that are perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up or a post-meal treat!
Ingredients:
- 8 tbsp of unsalted butter 
- 2/3 cup of powdered sugar 
- 1 egg yolk 
- 2 tbsp of corn starch 
- 2 tbsp of milk powder 
- 1/3 tsp of vanilla extract 
- 1 tbsp of matcha powder 
- 1 cup of all purpose flour 
- White chocolate chips for the # of cookies you make 
Tools:
- Flower cookie cutter (like THESE) 
- Matcha sifter (do not skip this part!!)

Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 320 F and make sure your butter is at room temp 
- Fold butter, powdered sugar, and egg yolk together 
- Add in corn starch, milk powder, and vanilla extract; continue folding mixture until smooth 
- Sift in matcha powder and all-purpose flour - the mixture should thicken at this point and become a dough as you continue folding with your hands 
- Fold the dough into ball form, then flatten on a cutting board 
- Using cookie cutters, cut out flower shaped cookie doughs 
- Add white chocolate chips to the middle of each flower, as desired 
- Bake @ 320 F for 20 minutes
