Matcha Milk Mochi

An easy and quick sweet treat that satisfies your cravings for something silky & chewy! Forget the days of pounding sticky rice for hours to achieve a mochi-like texture - this is the shortcut you’ve been looking for!


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 tbsp tapioca starch (do not substitute this - it is the main ingredient!)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (or sweetener of choice)

  • Matcha powder for dusting

Tools:

  • Small pot

  • Silicone spatula


Instructions:

  1. Mix milk, tapioca starch, and sugar together

  2. Cook mixture on medium heat while stirring constantly

  3. As mixture bubbles, lower heat to medium-low so to not burn (if it starts turning brown, turn heat down even more)

  4. Stir until it becomes a mochi-like consistency and remove from heat

  5. Dust matcha powder across the top and add desired toppings (e.g., strawberries, granola, coconut jellies, etc.)
