Oreo Mooncakes

The easiest variation of “mooncakes” you’ll ever make! With just two ingredients, this can be a fun dessert for your next Mid-Autumn Festival party!

Ingredients:

  • Oreos (both original and golden)

  • Milk

Instructions:

  1. Separate Oreo cookies from the cream

  2. Crush cookies (by color) in food processor

  3. Move crushed cookies into separate bowls by color and add milk by tablespoons until it forms a sticky, doughy consistency

  4. Put on food-safe gloves (or the next part will stick everywhere!)

  5. Take about 1 tablespoon of the Original Oreo dough, flatten on your palm

  6. Add 1 teaspoon of cream filling onto the middle of what’s on your palm

  7. Top off with 1 tablespoon of the Golden Oreo dough, flatten to cover the filling

  8. Roll the entire thing into a circle and mold it with mooncake mold

  9. Place Oreo mooncakes on parchment paper and refrigerate if not serving immediately
