Crispy Rice Paper Cheesy Bites
An easy and crunchy savory snack that’s perfect for your kid’s lunch box or served as an appetizer. You can get creative and choose your fillings too!
Ingredients:
Square rice papers
Protein of choice: I used chopped Chinese sausages, you can use pepperoni, shredded chicken, canned tuna, whatever you prefer!
Shredded cheese
Sesame oil
Chopped green onions or minced onions
Tools:
Air fryer (I use THIS ONE because you can see how cooked your food is!)
Oil brush
Instructions:
Chop up protein and onions if needed
Lay out 1 piece of rice paper as base (without wetting)
Place proteins, onions, and cheese (altogether) into 9 different sections of the rice paper
Spray some oil onto the base rice paper
Wet another piece of rice paper
Place the wet rice paper on top of the base rice paper, covering all the fillings
Press and seal the wet rice paper into the base rice paper
Cut up rice papers into 9 sections based on where you spaced each pile of fillings
Spray some oil onto your air fryer’s rack
Spread out cut-up rice paper bites across the air fryer rack without overlapping each other (so they don’t stick together)
Brush a tiny bit of oil onto each rice paper bite
Air fry at 380 for 5 minutes or until puffed up and slightly browned
Enjoy as is or with dipping sauce of choice!
